The Personal Me
Andrew credits his grandfather with recognizing and encouraging his passion for financial planning and investing. Andrew says his grandfather understood the importance of the capital markets, money management, and financial planning and felt that every one of his grandchildren needed to learn about important financial concepts and principles at an early age. This influenced Andrew to not only pursue a degree in finance with an emphasis on portfolio management and financial planning, but to find his true passion in life.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys skiing, cheering on his home team Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers, and helping to expand a program at his high school alma mater that he credits for his own academic success. The after-school study program seeks to identify struggling students early in their educational careers and empower them to achieve academic excellence.
An Ohio native, Andrew was born in Cleveland, grew up in Westlake and now lives with his wife, Leyla, in Avon Lake, Ohio.
Little known fact: Despite having torn both ACLs playing high school basketball, Andrew is an avid skier. A top bucket list item is a ski expedition around the world, including the Zermatt resort with views of the Matterhorn and skiing the slopes near Mt. Fuji at Niseko in Japan.
